2028 Week 11 Notes by DavesGang
Arizona's All-pro CB Derrick Cole had a game to write home about. After Cole intercepted the second of the day you might think 49r's coaches would have counseled QB Wilcox to throw to the other side... 3 INTs, 3 Passes Defensed, and 3 passes caught.
WR Roman Gentry was passed over by many teams in the draft in 2025 (4th round 8th pick) because of size issues and a very raw skill set. Last season he surprised everyone finishing with 1,008 yards and 5 TD's. This year he has been fairly steady if unspectacular until this week against Atlanta. 9 catches, 141 yards, and 2TD's later... No one is asking if 5'8" is too short anymore.
Lets look at a linemen now. A few years ago Baltimore nabbed what I thought was a 5th round steal with C Ricardo Nichols. He has started 56 of 58 games, and been a excellent pass protector for the Ravens. This week he showed the Steelers vaunted interior D line (Denning, Bivens, and Navarre) how he has improved his run blocking too.
