2028 Superbowl Preview by DavesGang
Congrats to all the playoff teams this year. There have been some epic battles, great rivalries, and great stories this year. Right now let's looks at the paths of the two superbowl bound teams.
Miami is a 6 point favorite according to the odds makers. They have overcome losing their starting QB Vince Marshall in week 6. FA Tommy Fauber came in and has had more success thaan 31 other teams thought he would have. The Dolphins have helped take the weight off the qb position by putting the majority of the offense on the shoulders of last year's rushing leader RB Jake Henson. He has understandably seen a drop in his ypc this year, but is still is one of this year's best. The other thing the Phin's are good at? Defense. CB J Lee has been an outstanding addition to sack artist OLB Langen. Other notable performers include DT Tedder, and SS Reed. Their return game ain't bad either... Seattle also funnels its offense through the hands of an amazing RB, and had a struggling qb controversy. Backup QB Hoover won the job midyear from last year's SB winner Orlando Kappe, despite a pedestrian 77 qb rating. RB Wooden became a household name in last year's super bowl, and will have huge expectations in this game. This team also plays has a very gutty defensive unit that has helped drag this team back into playoff contention when it was all in doubt earlier this season. Their return game ain't bad either...
Congrats again to all the playoff teams, and Good luck to this year's Superbowl squads.

2028 Wild Card Weekend by DavesGang Game of the week has to be the OT nail biter between Hawks and Vikings.
It seems like QB Weaver's health has been in question every time he has gotten the Bolts to the playoffs.
Upcoming Conference Semi-Final games KC at Oakland... Epic. One of the biggest rivalries meets again in the playoffs. Will KC conjurer the magic again, or will Oakland make it a clean sweep of KC this year?
Miami at Houston features two of the very best power running/tough defensive teams. Smashmouth ball at its best. Who wants it more?
San Fran at Dallas is all about will Coleman start or sit? Doubtful and very likely to re-injure is the official report. If he plays will he be effective? If he sits can they keep up with the high flying Niners? The Niners are playing for the win ether way.
Seattle at St. Louis... The Rams won the division, but now have to prove it again on the big stage. The first division title in forever is great, but will not be satisfying if they lose to the Hawks in their first playoff game.

2028 Week 17 Notes
by DavesGang
Congrats to all the Wild Card teams.
KC at Cleveland pits two of the premier AFC teams against each other for the honor of moving into the next round. The Browns boast a prolific offense that generated the most yardage of all teams this year. The Chiefs bring a very well rounded team that is one of the best at stopping the run.
San Diego at Miami features two very extreme offenses. Each one has stars and a style that is based on very different philosophies. The weather may be the deciding factor.
San Fran at Carolina... The Niner's have the high flying star power, and the Panthers have a lot of question marks. The Cats are backing into the playoffs losing their last 4 games while the Niner's have won 5 of the last 6.
Seattle at Minnesota should be a battle. Last years super bowl winner and this years highest scoring team tangle. Can Wooden and the Hawk's gritty D make another playoff run? Or will the Vike's scoring machine grab a early lead, and put the Hawks down?

2028 Week 16 Notes by DavesGang
Dallas has secured the first NFC playoff seed without QB Coleman. Tito Card has played just well enough, and the underrated defense has really stepped it up the last two weeks. They are still hopeful Coleman's leg will make a miraculous recovery for the playoff gauntlet... perhaps he will play if they make it to the SB?
The NFC North has no clear leader yet. All of the teams except Chicago lost this week. Now all four teams play each other for the final sorting. Only one can win the title, and make the playoffs
This weeks must see game? A huge match up between two up and coming teams. Who wants the NFC west more? St. Louis or late surging San Fransisco? To make it even more interesting Seattle (finally back on track) could leapfrog the loser to nab the wildcard spot. Even worse the loser could potentially miss the playoffs all together.
Baltimore needs Denver to pull an upset over KC to squeak in. Otherwise they will be watching the playoffs from home... even with a 10-6 record.

2028 Week 14 Notes by DavesGang
Dallas QB Neal Coleman has showed that he is perhaps the best QB in the eNFL right now. Unfortunately he can't seem to stay healthy, and is developing a reputation as injury prone. This ugly injury happened while he was running out the clock on a visibly upset Bengals team. Coleman was barely able to pitch the ball left for the end run by RB Cole Baxtor. Carolina DT Deon Williams appeared to push through the line and one of the backup linemen rolled into Coleman's leg. Resulting in a stress fracture , and likely ending his amazing season. Many Dallas fans are questioning why he was still on the field with a 26 point lead.
49'rs rookie safety Marcus Reed has struggled some adapting to the speed of the pro game. Reed was drafted with an eye to pairing with, and eventually taking over for all pro FS Kenny Torres. This week vs the Jets SS Reed seemed to catch on all of the sudden... catch 3 INTs and a TD.

2028 Week 13 Notes by DavesGang
Cleveland QB Berry Houston threw all over the Texans, but couldn't stop the Texans power running game which produced two hundred yard runners. Congrats to RB's Sisinni and Ferguson for carrying their team to the win.
Chicago and Zona met in the desert with both teams struggling. The Bears had had recent success against the Titans and were hoping to carry that momentum into a unlikely playoff spot. It was not to be.
Whats up in Seattle? After a amazing playoff run and SB win the Hawks are sputtering. The last loss puts them in third place in the NFC west and likely out of the playoffs for this year.
Congrats to Miami for climbing to the top of the division and also for squeaking by the Raiders. The fins are starting to be a team the silver and black doesn't match up well to.

2028 Week 12 Notes
by DavesGang
A great career likely comes to an end. QB Rondell Webster, the All-Time leader in Quarterback Rating, tears his ACL.
Its been mentioned before, but Michael Van Horn is having a outstanding year. Not only has he shattered the all time INT record... he is on pace for perhaps the best season ever by a CB. All that while on a struggling 4-7 Philadelphia team that sees a lot more late game run plays than passes.
Time to dig a little deeper into the stats. Arizona has struggled some lately, but not when they run to the right side. Charting all runs to the right gives the Cards a whopping 8.17 yards per carry.
Dallas QB Coleman is back from injury and in 7 games has yet to post less than a 100 qb rating. Lots of teams that passed on him back in 2025 thinking he wasn't 1st overall talent are kicking themselves now.
Congratulations New Jersey Jets! A shutout is always special, but when its against last years SB winner its even sweeter. Turnovers and time of possession were key.
St. Louis got back to their winning ways after a two game slump. Hopeful fans were fearful, and started doubting if the team could maintain a lead in the division for the first time since 2011.
Next must see game? Cleveland vs Houston This game features two division leaders, super QB Houston (he's a Brown), and uber DE Leland Perez (all time sack leader and then some).

2028 Week 11 Notes by DavesGang
Arizona's All-pro CB Derrick Cole had a game to write home about. After Cole intercepted the second of the day you might think 49r's coaches would have counseled QB Wilcox to throw to the other side... 3 INTs, 3 Passes Defensed, and 3 passes caught.
WR Roman Gentry was passed over by many teams in the draft in 2025 (4th round 8th pick) because of size issues and a very raw skill set. Last season he surprised everyone finishing with 1,008 yards and 5 TD's. This year he has been fairly steady if unspectacular until this week against Atlanta. 9 catches, 141 yards, and 2TD's later... No one is asking if 5'8" is too short anymore.
Lets look at a linemen now. A few years ago Baltimore nabbed what I thought was a 5th round steal with C Ricardo Nichols. He has started 56 of 58 games, and been a excellent pass protector for the Ravens. This week he showed the Steelers vaunted interior D line (Denning, Bivens, and Navarre) how he has improved his run blocking too.

2028 Week 9 and 10 Notes by DavesGang
Week 9 Notes:
The New York Giants placed former 1st round pick WR Kellog on IR this week after a knee injury that will likely require surgery. Kellog never really lived up to expectations of a top WR, but had found a niche as a decent possession WR for the Giants. A knee surgery may put an end to that.
Dallas finds a way to win while QB Coleman is down with a concussion. Backup QB Tito Card looks more comfortable filling in than he did last year.
Did you see the Tennessee vs San Diego game? Wow. Week 10 Notes:
This was the week of the Kicker. 10 kickers made the player of the week list.
Former 1st round pick DE Wade Connel is widely considered a bust, but may have finally found a place to shine. Playing as a backup passrusher for the Texans DE Connel posted 2 sacks this week against his old team.
Speaking of struggling DE's Atlanta's DE Malcolm Robbin has been getting heat from his coaches. Watching game film they have been noticing that he seems to take stretches of time off during games, and has really been been lees than an impact player. He seems to have heard some of the criticism and responded with a half sack and a few QB pressures this week. Although the sack-e was Iron man QB Cornelious Patten who was forced to throw almost 40 times when Tampa fell behind early. The heat will be on Robbin to get some more pressure.

2028 Week 8 Notes
by DavesGang
After 8 games the division leaders are starting to pull clear of the rest. Here are a few of the division races going on around the league.
In the NFC south Carolina is starting to lose ground to the Saints. QB Bayer is playing great for a guy coming off the street, but this week he just wasn't accurate enough to win against New Orleans' high pressure defense. Saints' QB Sanders has struggled this year, but was able to put up some big numbers this week against the Panthers.
The NFC west may be seeing big changes. St. Louis is still holding a 2 game lead on last years Super Bowl winning Seahawks. NFC north is a tight race, but no one is really making a push right now.
Cleveland, Baltimore, and the surprising Cincinnati club are all in the running for the AFC north. In Pittsburgh it looks like QB Burden's era is over, and they are suffering growing pains with young QB Alford.
AFC east has Buffalo over Miami by a game, but both teams are still seeking a winning identity, and the west still has a three way tie between KC, Raiders, and the Chargers. Chiefs at Oakland this week will start to sort out this bunch.
